This is a picture of the natural reserve “Ingendael”, taken July 15th 2021, the river Geul has flooded the valley. Today the valley is dry again and the city of Valkenburg is healing its wounds. Everybody is working hard to reopen all restaurants, attractions and terraces as fast as possible. Hiking and biking is again possible in the countryside. Bed and Breakfast Gerlachus is situated high in the Geul valley and has not been affected by the flood. You are all welcome!
